What you can expect

  • Establish an automotive cybersecurity test house for China.
  • Creation of a farm of cybersecurity test racks, e.g. determine which hardware is required, organize the hardware (ECU’s), construct the test racks, bring-up of the test automation framework.
  • Determine the China-specific security requirements and ensure their test coverage in the cybersecurity testing process.
  • Proactively seek contact with cybersecurity counterparts within the (VW group) organisation to identify and understand cybersecurity testing needs and opportunities.
  • Liasing with the cybersecurity testing team in Germany to ensure compatibility and integration with the existing test automation infrastructure.
  • Execution of manual and automated security tests on vehicle ECU’s.
  • Creation of tickets for failed tests and tracking the resolution of the reported issues.
  • Prioritisation and scheduling of cybersecurity testing based on vehicle release plans.

This is what you bring along

  • You are familiar with automotive security technologies and “security controls” e.g. SOC/ VKMS/ TEE/ SecSOA/ V2X/ authentic time etc.
  • You have experience with vehicle release schedules and planning as well as the impact on security testing and deliverables.
  • You are familiar with market-specific security regulations and requirements (e.g. GB/T’s) and their impact on ECU software projects.
  • You have approx. 10 years of experience in (automotive) industry and 5 years of experience in the security context, ideally you have prior experience working with a German OEM.
  • You have at least a rudimentary technical understanding of common automotive technologies e.g. CAN/ automotive ethernet.
  • You are comfortable working with the command line – ideally on Linux.
  • Exposure to and understanding of the offensive security/ hacking mindset is beneficial.
  • You are fluent in Chinese and English, German would be ideal.
