Are you looking for an innovative, agile working environment in the e-commerce sector with an impact on champions as well as hidden champions? Then you have come to the right place! Become a pioneer of digital transformation and support our team!

Your duties

  • You design and develop solution and system architectures in the automotive industry, including business process modelling, application architecture and technology and infrastructure architecture.

  • From this, you derive the necessary measures in the organisation and IT of the company for successful implementation.

  • You coordinate and moderate architecture processes and are responsible for architecture and security assessments.

  • You prioritise non-functional applications and technical developments over feature development and represent the architecture perspective in SAFe programm management.

  • You transport architecture visions for a digital platform by thinking outside the box with a guild of like-minded people and implement concrete architecture decisions.

Your profile

  • You are enthusiastic about agile project structures, new methodological approaches and a modern technology stack.

  • You have several years of relevant professional experience as an IT, system, solution or enterprise architect in the digital/e-commerce environment.

  • You have experience in (agile) software development with Java, enterprise content management or enterprise e-commerce systems, design of cloud applications and with architecture patterns.

  • You feel comfortable in this technological environment: modern architecture patterns; complex MicroServices, Commercetools; Backend (Spring Boot); FrontEnd (React); Cloud Foundry on AWS; Microsoft Azure.

  • You have experience in facilitating technical collaboration and goal development between different organisations.

  • You have strong communication skills, a convincing manner and the ability to transport and implement architectural visions to different stakeholders/management.

Our offer

  • Born digital: Benefit from our many years of experience and our agile up-to-date culture
  • Life-Work-Balance: Decide for yourself where and when you work: across locations in the Digital Workspace, part-time, completely flexible, taking a sabbatical – no problem with us.

“When I have free time, I like to spend it doing yoga, playing guitar or learning Japanese.”

Hi Anja, you have been working as an IT consultant at diconium for more than 6 years now and already have a total of 20 years of professional experience in the industry. Where does your enthusiasm for the IT field come from?

That was in my school days. My father started his own business when I was 11. Our children’s room became his office. He taught himself programming and created websites. Being online for the first time, dialing in via ISDN, we experienced all that live as children. When I was 16 or 17, I had the opportunity to take IT as an elective subject. IT and business studies were my best subjects, so it was relatively obvious to go in the direction of business informatics.

And how did you eventually come to work for diconium?

diconium was recommended to me by a friend seven years ago. The mindful atmosphere of the interview, the warm welcome in the first weeks as well as the many options to learn, grow and network made that choice easy. From the start, I had the feeling that my opinion mattered and is taken seriously.

Reflecting on your past projects, which one sticks out for you and why?

What really stands out for me is not so much a single project but the team spirit. Knowing the strengths and interests of each other, everybody has their eyes on both team happiness and project success. It’s an atmosphere where nobody is reluctant to reach out to others for help.

“Driving that transformation is the incentive you have in a role like mine, and I enjoy doing that immensely.”

Hi Tim, nice to meet you! Can you introduce yourself?
Hi, my name is Tim Maleska and I’ve been working at diconium for two and a half years. I started as a Backend Developer and moved into the IT Consultant role a year later — this switch was planned from the beginning. The short excursion into backend was meant for me to get to know current techniques and approaches of diconium.

That means you initially applied as an IT Consultant?
Exactly. I was hired as an ITC, but since I had previously been self-employed and had only experienced agile team structures when dealing with customers, my boss suggested that I first take a look at what we were doing in practice. Everything about designing APIs, microservices in the cloud, CI/CD and agile frameworks like SAFe, I had only heard about in theory, so it was a good idea to get practical experience first. However, the switch to the ITC role after just under a year was the right step in my development.
