Infrastructure and IT Security Lead (all genders)

• Designing, building, maintaining and securing the cyber-security unit's IT infrastructure
• Responsibility for the overall IT infrastructure security posture
• Working with software engineers to design and build server infrastructure for our products and services - e.g. internet-facing web portal hosts
• Designing and documenting measures for the availability, backup, recovery and security of the services and infrastructure
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to improve the IT and security skills of junior colleagues
• Liaising closely with the group IT department to ensure any deviations by the cyber-security unit from group IT policies are addressed appropriately - e.g. by defining a suitable technical solution

Must have:

• Previous experience in building IT infrastructure

• Extensive technical knowledge of security technologies such as VPN's, PKI, MFA, etc.

• A solid grasp of the cryptographic concepts that underpin those security technologies e.g. authentication vs. encryption, symmetric vs. asymmetric, etc.

• A genuine personal interest in security and securing systems

• The ability to have a laugh

• Fluent English (German advantageous)

• Experience in implementing a zero-trust based approach - especially in a BYOD environment

• Any relevant certifications in the area of information security or infrastructure protection
